In this talk, the fifth iteration of Eden X is presented: an assembly focused on a Tagus river ecosystem, involving five participants from different fields. The assembly’s proposals are commented on by AI agents representing ecosystem species, alongside input collected through a public poll.
Building on this process, the talk reflects on the role that technology, particularly large language models (LLMs), can play in representing non-human perspectives within ecosystems in decision-making frameworks that affect them.
Eden X is a digital assembly platform that reimagines non-human participation in decision-making, focusing on how design affects ecosystems. It brings together collaborators from diverse fields and explores how AI, particularly large language models (LLMs), can act as proxies for ecosystem voices.
