Essence reimagines olive oil tasting as a slow and multisensory ritual that restores depth to our relationship with food. In a time of fast and superficial consumption, it invites participants to rediscover olive oil as a living material shaped by time, care, and craftsmanship. Through symbolic gestures and bespoke tableware, including an olive-shaped glass and utensils inspired by the tree itself, Essence transforms tasting into a reflective experience of touch, scent, flavour, and Mediterranean memory shared around the table.
Kombo is a collection of biodegradable tableware, created from the byproducts of kombucha fermentation. Made from a natural biofilm formed by scoby, a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, Kombo offers a radically transparent alternative to single-use plastics through objects that emerge from waste and return to the earth. The result is a closed-loop system, where food waste becomes a resource for its own network. Kombo proposes tableware that reconnects the act of eating to the cycles of life itself, in a living material experience.
Square Greens enables the domestic cultivation of microgreens-young edible plants valued for their nutritional density and rapid growth. Its key innovation lies in activating growth directly within the packaging, reducing the effort required from users and anticipating the earliest cultivation phase. Conceived as an open-source and adaptable system, Square Greens supports healthier eating habits while fostering a more direct, conscious and accessible relationship with food production within everyday urban and domestic settings.
