To help avoid climate catastrophe, an acceleration of reuse practices in construction is necessary by adopting the practice of mining the Anthropocene, seeking new cultural values in typically discarded components. As part of ongoing collective investigations of NADA NOVO, a series of records are presented from visits to these ‘mines’ for our future.

NADA NOVO / NO NEWS is a not-for-profit association that promotes the reuse of components and construction materials, and explores the cultural challenges of their application. Founded in 2023, in Portugal, NADA NOVO carries out activity with industry, academia and with the public sphere, including investigation on reuse within vernacular, contemporary and future construction.
