What is the real impact of our decisions regarding food? Is it possible to grow food in cities with few resources? What is an agroforest? Can we change education, community and fight climate emergencies through food? Urban Farming is a multifaceted concept that encompasses various methods of growing food in urban environments—a critical need to counter greenwashing. Yes, it is possible to live a self-sufficient and fulfilling life in the heart of the city and create awareness in society, respecting nature through integration.
Through this experience, participants will visit and learn about three projects allowing urban farmers to maximise limited space and resources, while producing a wide range of crops—creating safer ecosystems, a strong sense of community and a positive impact on education. Moreover, participants will have the chance to learn and create an agroforest nest that can last for generations.
Designer, urban farmer, educator, agroforest enthusiast and father of three, Rodrigo Borralho (he/him) explores all the creativity and beauty that nature brings to inspire and empower people, especially the little ones—bringing conscience and well-being through nature in cities.
